Bloodlines of the Forest is part of a series that I am working on which is about the way in which everything is connected: the world it turns out, is one giant network. Inspiration has come from many places but I was fascinated by two books. One is called The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben, the other is Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake. I am not sure if we are even individuals any more, or if we are just vast carriers of bacteria and mycellium.
