My digital embroideries are constructed from photographs of flowers, insects, birds, trees and fragments of landscape. Each element is photographed separately, carefully isolated and layered to create an intricate new world. Like traditional embroidery, the process is slow and detailed, building the image piece by piece until the individual parts become a connected whole.
