Other Dreams gathers flowers, birds, insects and seed heads into a densely layered world poised between garden and dream. Two rooks stand at the centre like guardians of an entrance, while flowers and fragments of growth gather around them in a restless field of colour. Familiar natural forms remain recognisable, but their altered scale and unexpected relationships remove them from the ordinary world.

The work imagines nature as a place of exchange, movement and hidden activity. Birds watch, insects pass between flowers, and repeated forms appear to communicate across the composition. Rather than presenting nature as a collection of separate specimens, Other Dreams draws the viewer into a living system in which everything is connected—and in which human life is only one small part.
